Designing Happy
Design has conventionally been associated to function and form (aesthetics). But design, as a value adding process, is potently positioned to contribute to delivering positive emotion resulting in happiness and greater wellbeing. We need design to take greater responsibility in delivering happiness and wellbeing just as it takes responsibility for function and form.
Designing Happy is a set of guidelines, for design practice and design education, which identifies some key tips that design work can incorporate so that the design can be productive in the manifestation of positive emotion, feelings of pleasure and contribute to our wellbeing and general happiness.
